Permanent or seasonal?
Permanent goes up once and stays lit all year from an app. Seasonal costs less each time but you pay for it every year, and it's the better call if you're selling soon, renting, or your fascia needs work first.

Nobody's on a ladder in December
That's the whole pitch. Calgary in December is ice, wind and a -25 wind chill, and a ladder is the last place to be. Ours goes up once, in daylight, by people who are on roofs for a living.
The track system is hard to spot by day
Pick the track system and it tucks into the fascia line, designed to read as trim from the street in daylight. This is the part people don't believe until they see a house with it off.
It's not a seasonal product
Warm white on a Tuesday in March. Your colours for whatever you're celebrating, Flames colours on a game night, or just off. A celebration is one thing it can do. The rest of the year it's just good lighting.
We're already the roof guys
Mounting anything to a roofline means fasteners near your shingles, fascia and eaves. That's our day job. A lighting installer who's never built a roof is learning on yours.
PRICED BY THE FOOT. YOU PICK THE FOOTAGE.
Roofline lighting is priced per linear foot of roofline, so the number comes down to how much of the house you want lit. Front only is the common starting point, since it's what the street sees and it's the cheapest way in. Wrapping the full perimeter costs more because it's more feet.
- We measure the roofline and give you a written price before anything is ordered.
- You choose the coverage: front only, front and sides, or the full perimeter. The price moves with it.
- One written price covering track, fixtures, mounting and clean-up, the same way we quote a roof.
- A 30% deposit on signing, and the balance on completion.
Three years on our workmanship: the mounting, the runs, the fastening. The hardware itself carries the manufacturer's warranty, on the manufacturer's own terms. Both are separate from the roofing warranties: a roof replacement carries 5 years on our workmanship plus IKO's material warranty, and a roof repair carries 1 year. Different products, different paper.

How permanent roofline lighting works
Permanent roofline lighting is four parts: a slim channel mounted along the roof edge, a run of LEDs inside it that can each be set to their own colour, a low-voltage power supply, and a controller you run from an app. It stays up year-round, and the connectors, seals and electronics usually limit its life more than the LEDs do.
Roofline lighting and your roof: mounting it without damage
Permanent lights should fasten into sound fascia or solid soffit below the metal drip edge at the roof's edge, never through your shingles or roof deck, and stay clear of the soffit vents your attic breathes through. On a Calgary roof edge, where water drains and ice builds every winter, every fastener also has to be sealed.
