Eavestrough is one of the few exterior items with a genuinely comparable unit price, because seamless aluminum is formed on site and priced per linear foot of run plus per downspout.
In Calgary, **seamless aluminum eavestrough generally runs $8–$16 per linear foot installed**, with downspouts priced individually. A typical single-family house needing a full replacement lands somewhere in the low four figures. Oversized 6-inch trough, heavier gauge aluminum, steel, and two-storey access all push toward and past the top of that band.
Seamless is formed on site from a coil so the only joints are corners and outlets. Sectional comes in pre-cut lengths joined every few feet. Seams are where gutters leak, and Calgary’s freeze-thaw works on every one of them, so seamless is the default for good reason. If a quote is unusually cheap, check which one you’re being offered.
